PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Universal, silicone-based, self-fusing, insulating and sealing repair tape.

FIELD OF APPLICATION

Suitable for sealing and quickly repairing leaks in pipes, hoses, fittings, traps and garden hoses. Can also be used to waterproof electrical connections and to insulate and protect electrical outlets and cables. Also suitable for connecting objects to each other, joining materials, protecting against rust and as an anti-slip on tool handles, among other things. For indoor, outdoor and underwater applications.

PREPARATION

Pre-treatment of surfaces: It is not necessary to clean the substrate. However, contamination between the layers should be avoided during winding.

IMPLEMENTATION

Instructions for use: 1. Remove the protective film from the tape. 2. Apply the first layer by overlapping it completely and then stretch the tape between 200 and 300 %. 3. Stretch the tape between 200 and 300 % and apply it by overlapping it at 50 %. Apply several coats. 4. Completely overlay the last coat and tighten firmly. Apply at least two layers to seal (waterproof) electrical connections and to insulate and protect electrical outlets and cables. When sealing leaks, two evenly rolled layers are sufficient to withstand a pressure of 1 bar. Each additional layer stretched to the maximum increases the pressure resistance by 1 bar, up to a maximum of 12 bar. Apply the tape over a width of 10 cm (with the leakage held in the centre). The melting process takes place in a few seconds, which means that the tape melts faster when it is stretched further. Stains/residue: As the product only adheres to itself, it can be applied to any surface, is easily removed and leaves no adhesive residue.
